Wind generators are at best a catchpenny gimmick,at worst a complete waste of money and space! Give a little thought to the amount power (carbon) used in producing them and the amount of ground (and increasingly seabed) occupied by them. Apparently the payback time for the capital cost of a wind turbine is in excess of 12 years (optimistic!) and takes no account of maintainence or repair. Individually,they can make a contribution,in remote places with low demand,but are not to be relied upon as a general source of power.
